Milan Fashion Week Begins: Backstage with Chicca Laualdi, Meeting Anna Wintour, and VOGUE Talent Party

CIAO! It has been a crazy few days in Milan. There is so much to tell and show, so I am going to give a “quick” run down of the past couple days. It all started when we got the opportunity to work backstage at the Chicca Laualdi fashion show. IT WAS SO COOL! We each got to speak to the designer and have her give us instruction on how she wanted our models styled. We got to see how it all goes down. Set up, wardrobe prep, hair, make up, practice runs, more hair and make up, THE BIG SHOW, and press are just a few things we got to experience. Read…

Milan Fashion Week: Franca Sozzani, Hogan Shoes Event, and BORSALINO Event.

Today started out so amazing! It was our first event of the day, and the first person I see is Franca Sozzani! For those of you who don’t know her, she is the “Anna Wintour” of Italy! She is an outstanding woman. I was feeling so blessed to attend this private event for Hogan Shoes. The designs, models, and the atmosphere was perfect. I definitely left feeling inspired. I thought that the day couldn’t get any more exciting. Well, guess what, it did! We got to go to the private after party for Borsalino! This event was unreal. I have never been to an after party with such classy people. That on its own was an experience…

Milan Fashion Week: Backstage with Heohwan Simulation

Sad to say that this was the LAST Milan Fashion Week show that I got the chance to be backstage and got to meet some more AMAZING people. The designer Heohwan Simulation is so dang talented. All of his pieces were so much different then any of the other designers pieces that I saw. All of the designs were well executed and so bright! My model Anja was so cute and friendly! I have seriously been in HEAVEN this past week…what am I going to do when this comes to an end? xoxo, P

Milan Fashion Week: Backstage with Designer Fatima Val

We had such a great opportunity to work backstage and the Fatima Val fashion show.  When we arrived they were setting the runway and the visual display to set the mood. I loved watching how it all came together! Because I studied visuals, that was so amazing to see. Not only did we get to see the set come together, we got to see the models come together as well. We were each assigned a model and we were responsible for styling their three outfits that were being showcased on the runway. I am not going to lie, it was intense, but that’s what made it fun! We assisted this…

    Hello Corso Como

Ciao! Bonjourno! Heeeello! It was quite the day yesterday, but I must say I love EVERYONE at my school! My prayers were answered and I have met people from all over the world that I will never forget. NAPAL. ARGENTINA. RUSSIA. KUWAIT. POLAND. GREECE. I mean really?! HOW AMAZING?! We all have a blast with each other. We love being students/tourist by day, but then we love to pretend to be “locals” by night. Yesterday we didn’t rest. We were on foot all day long. Yes, my feet are killing me. No, I wouldn’t change this experience for the world! We got to see and attend some fun and interesting things…
