Roses and Ruffles

I am so sad, because I waited to long to share this look with you all! I cannot find the product on Zara’s website, so I don’t have links for you today. #fail
BUT I wanted to give you a little something to get you inspired for your Valentine’s Day look. This isn’t as fancy as the “perfect red dress” that I styled in my last post, but it is dressy enough for a nice dinner date/event.
For all of you that like to keep it some what casual and cozy…stay tuned. One more Valentine’s inspired post is comin!

it’s time to “stretch” myself

I am so excited to share an idea with you all. I might be crazy, but keep reading!
So, I am just going to say it, I decided it’s time to stretch myself. I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and if you could see into my brain, it would look like one of those illustrations you see with a bunch of squiggly lines all over the place. A colorful squiggly line mess, but a beautiful mess! I have thought about giving up the blog, because why would I continue when there are SO many other bloggers who inspire others more than I would ever be able to? Why continue when my views and follower count stays stagnate at times? Why continue when this whole thing feels a bit hopeless and somewhat a waste of time?
Then reality slapped me in the face. DUH PAIGE. I do this for ME! This is MY creative outlet. This is MY way to see progress, and better myself. This is MY way to inspire ME. And while it’s doing all of these things for me, I can only hope that one day someone will come across my blog or social accounts, and feel inspired as well.
I have decided that it’s time to try to step out of my comfort zone. I have decided to be more confident in myself. I have decided to explore my capabilities, which is why I came up with this new idea!
I personally am trying to live a healthier life style, and while I am on that journey, I would love to try to take you with me! If I know some of you are counting on me, then I won’t slack off or give up! You can hold me accountable. So, with that being said, I am taking myself on a “get fit” adventure!
I mean…I’m sure you have all seen Cara Loren. That girl is not only the nicest human, but HOLY COW, she is an inspiration!
I am still working this out in my head and figuring out how I want to go about this…But I will be posting personals workouts, my favorite work out classes, yummy snacks, work out apparel, etc.
DISCLAIMER: These posts won’t happen daily (as of now)! But I will do my best between my blog and Instagram account, to post as much as possible without overwhelming everyone.
Okay, wow, long rant! I am so excited to give this a shot! If I fail, still love me. 🙂

Lover of Black

This is how I wish everyday looked. Sunshine and bare feet.
Keeping it super casual, and because of the ocean breeze, I am keeping it cozy too! There isn’t anything special to this look, but I have to admit, it’s one that I wear more than once a week. Yes, I am guilty of “wear the outfit again if no one sees you in it”. My once piece of advice for you today is:

When in doubt, wear black! 🙂

Cozy in Calvin

Hello long weekend!
Most of you probably have fun weekend trips planned, but I am over here excited to cozy up and take it easy! I guess you could say I am that one friend who is the grandma of the group.

I shot this look in Utah a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately just sharing it now, but with how the weather is treating us here in LA, I think I could wear this look this weekend! It’s a been a bit chilly.

For some reason, there is nothing I love more than seeing a thin hooded sweatshirt layered with a nice long jacket. Yes, on both woman and men! I do it when I can here in LA, but when I am home in Utah, this look is my go-to! And of course, when the hair hasn’t been washed, I am all about hats! Hides the hair mess and added a great touch to the look.
Anyway, have fun this weekend everyone! Stay warm and safe

Black is the new Black

Once upon a time in a winter wonderland, there was a young woman who arose out of bed at the crack of dawn to set out on an adventure. She thought twice about making the journey, but because she is trying to work hard towards her goal, she knew that she could not go back to snuggling up in her warm bed. The sun was rising, the wind was blowing, and in her apple red jeep the temperature read TEN DEGREES. Driving for miles, her excitement to get to her destination grew and grew. She pulled up and was more than thrilled to see her brown haired beautiful friend! Her friend whipped out her camera and said “we just need to make it to the top of that little hill”, so they set on their journey. The young woman was not prepared. She instantly knew that her leather skirt, ankle booties, and a thin turtleneck were not going to play in her favor. The two made it half way up the hill, and then it happened, the young woman slipped and fell. Not only did she fall, but she was holding holding onto her brown haired friend, so her friend fell as well! They both were in trouble. After multiple falls, bare hands and knees in the snow, and no way to warm up, they finally made it to the top. Miserably cold, they tried to laugh it off, and capture the beauty of  Utah’s winter mornings…

Yes. The young woman in the story is me. Yes, the brown haired beauty is Roxana. And yes, this really did happen!

Good thing these images turn out to be masterpieces! You’ll never get anything less than that with Roxanna!

Ps. No matter how many amazing pieces I may or may not have in my closet, I always end up wearing all black. It is a problem!

The Ultimate Bomber

Do you know why I love LA so much? Because there are so many creative people here! I stepped out of my comfort zone this past weekend and met up with an unbelievably creative human named Tommy. I came across his profile on Instagram and was immediately in love with the work he creates. We ended up connecting, and next thing you know, we are on a rooftop in Downtown LA picking each other’s brains and enjoying the view every way we looked!

The winter here in Los Angeles is different from the Utah winter that I am used to. I never thought that a baggy dress, knee-high booties, and some sort of statement jacket would be my “go-to” look this winter season…Some may call that boring, but hey, this look gets lots of compliments! No one hates those.

Wherever you are in the world, what’s going to be your “go-to” winter look?! Please share. I need some outfit inspo!

Calvin Klein

Mmmm mmm mmm, today’s look has got me feeling like a school girl! Well..I guess only the bottom half of my look! Today I am rocking the mini denim skirt and knee-high boots. All I need to do is throw my hair in two pig tails and…BOOM…school girl, right?! If I wanted the head to toe school girl look, I would throw on a white button up shirt, but instead, I shimmied into my favorite (and such a classic) Calvin Klein graphic tee.
For some reason, when I see a guy OR even a girl wearing anything Calvin, I am immediately obsessed with their look. Why? I don’t know. But there is something very attractive about a guy when he wears a nice crisp white Calvin tee styled nicely.
Who is with me? ow ow!
Anyway, because I am keeping this look very monochromatic and dark, I felt like it needed a slight edge. That is where my little choker comes into play. It’s not much, but it is just enough to give my Calvin look the edginess it needs!
What do you think?
Choker, or no choker?
Now, this is where I would usually throw my “add a pop of color to the lips” comment, but you all already know to do that by now. 🙂

Off the Shoulder

You guys! I am currently DYING to be living back in Utah right now! I took a quick trip back to Salt Lake City this past weekend just so I could take multiple drives through the mountains to look at all of the amazing colors. Thank goodness I took one of my BFF’s to capture the gorgeousness! I can honestly say that the scenery of these photos stole the show. 🙂

This top (which is on sale) is my first off the shoulder top. My friend Taylor rocks it ALL the time, so I decided to jump on her boat try the same thing! This shirt, like most of my clothing, is versatile. Wear it casually like I have done below. If you’re not a fan of mini skirts, wear it with some distressed overalls and tall booties! Of course, you can dress it up and wear it with dark denim and some nice pointed toe pumps! Boom. You’re ready for a night out on the town! Don’t forget to play dress up and lather yourself with some fun necklaces. That will definitely tie your look all together.

What do I love most about this look? One word. TARGET! Yep, you heard it right. Both the top and skirt are from Target! That place will eventually be the death of me…I know it. But until that happens, you can find me at Target burning a hole in my wallet.
